also, that map I sent you, I think the 5's in the zero throttle column probably help with decel popping at higher rpms.

I reassembled the exhaust system and used Permatex Copper RTV on all of the slip joints. Going to let her sit over night so the sealer can cure.

Also going to explore removing the PAR system, just looks like I have to remove some hoses and cap a few lines.

I'll update everyone on what happens. Also going to e-mail Takashi and let him know about my issues, Maybe he'll pass them along to TSR. The quality of the chrome and parts is on par with Stainetune, however, they really dropped the ball with the 4 pipe/collector connection

Good idea letting Takashi know. He praised the pipes when I asked him about them. I'm pretty sure he'll let TSR know. Takashi has skin in the game too.

Hopefully TSR will address the issues with your headers and make positive changes to the product going forward.

I was just wondering if you could make a 3/8 Drive Flare Nut Socket 17 mm your self by cutting into and perhaps do some grinding , using a 17 mm deep socket.
I have made quite a few "special " tools by adapting a standard tool.
It is always satisfying to make your own besides saving some money .

Well, here is where I am with the TSR Chrome Header. I used Permatex Ultra Copper on the collector/pipe joints and let it set for 24 hours. The leak seems to be gone as I didn't feel any blow by as I revved her up. Even so, I am still disappointed with this. Most systems with slip joints use either pull springs (like the pictured Motogear header) or clamps to attach such pieces.



TSR's decision to use only an RTV adhesive to seal this integral part of the exhaust system is beyond my comprehension. Had I had know it was set up this way, I would have not purchased it.

Anyways, big props to Deanohh regarding the insight on the PAIR valve. I have NO POPS OR GURGRLING ON DECEL NOW. Here is what I did;
Pull the right side cover and remove your air cleaner, Inside the airbox up front and to the right of the opening is the hole that the PAIR valve sucks air from. All I did was insert a rubber plug into this hole and presto, no air to inject into the exhaust ports and NO POPPING.




However, all is not perfect. See pulls hard until 5K and then goes flat. I believe the larger pipes and smaller CAT flow more exhaust. I am using the map that came with the PC V right now and assume she needs more fuel at the higher RPMS. I also have a K&N installed as well as a Staintune

Again, big props to Deanohh. Going to try that map and see what happens. At worst, a dynotune is in order.

As to the sound, I don't notice any difference between this header and the stocker. Darmahman, you may want to check around your collector. The "mean" sound you hear may be caused by leakage in this area.

If the sealer ever gives out, I think your idea to slit-cut the outside pipes and clamp them is the best.
