I like the stock mirrors, but I can't just glance at the mirrors and get a clear view. I see a good part of my shoulder and have to move my head around to see behind me. It wasn't too bad until I started wearing the armored jacket. Anyone using mirror extenders? If so what type and brand do you think is best?
I just tried re-adjusting the mirror arms a little but that was not enough to make a difference. I did look on Amazon and found a few, but not sure if they will work on the CB11.Huh

If you want a clear view, purchase some CB500F mirrors from your dealer. They offer an amazing unobstructed rear view. Best I've ever experienced on any motorcycle.

I had a pair on my bike, but because they extend about a good inch further out than stock, it was difficult to get the bike through the door to my downstairs.

I put the OEM Honda CBX mirrors on my CB1100,just a little longer than the stock mirrors but now I can see both lanes behind me from each mirror. They only come in black (the real OEM ones) but having achrome headlight shell and chrome meter covers it looks fine, especially on the black clutch and brake master /reservoir parts.

How large are you? I'm 6' 230lbs and I can see behind myself perfectly. I have my left mirror viewing mostly behind and slightly right, and my right mirror mostly showing right (I'm usually in the left/HOV lane). Part of my left arm is in the mirror, but unless a vehicle about three feet long is behind me and below my waste, I'll be able to see it.

I went from a 93 750 Nighthawk to this bike and I can tell you these mirrors work just fine, and I'm not a small guy. 5'10" 260 lbs. With the nighthawk pretty much all I could see I the mirrors were my arms. I still see them a bit in the mirrors, but I can see what's behind me just fine.

I'm 6' 2" about 240, but broad shouldered. It's a pain getting clothes that fit. I was good until the armored jacket. Thanks for the reply's. I will look into the mirror options. I did find some extensions on Amazon that were 10mm.
My left mirror is fine if I pull my shoulder in. My right mirror is the same, if I tuck my shoulder in. I'd like to be able to look at the mirror without having to move around. I feel they are adjusted right, Just need a little width. Once I decide which way to go with this, I'll be sure post it with pictures.

Ok, I went by my local Dealer and no mirror extenders so we looked at a couple of mirror possibilities, but nothing I really liked so I ordered the extenders on Amazon. Was able to install them last night and went out for a ride today. Big difference, they worked great, now I can see without moving around on the bike. I wanted to keep the CB as stock as possible, other then the top case, but for me this was a safety issue.

Interesting. How about taking a shot from the front and back where you can see the whole bike

I'll go move her outside in better light, I had took one in the garage but it came out dark for some reason. I'll get another one and post it.
Thumbs Up
