It sounds like the Daytona Cozy is on serious back order. But I'd love to get some detailed ride reports from those of you that have them, so keep them coming!

The seat in the Honda catalog shows up at Global Ratuken and E-Clubman. But seeing it and obtaining it are apparently 2 different things. (and I didn't see the Honda seat on Webike).

Here's a picture on the Honda seat. Tallest of the bunch, wide and flat, and the Honda logo on the back!

Thats a good looking seat. I rode about 300 miles Thursday going to visit some friends. On the way out the stock seat started bothering me, but on the way back I was fine. I sit pretty close to the tank, and the stock seat is pretty narrow there. A little wider seat might be welcomed.

Buffalo Bill - I found that picture of Honda's old style accessory seat on a European website when I first started searching for accessories. I saved the picture but not the link.

The seach continues for that seat. Meanwhile I'd really like to get more reports from the folks who received the Daytona Cozy seat.

If I was going for the full on retro look, I would have to track down the seat the CB4ME posted. They did a nice job on that one.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, that's the seat that should've been on it from the beginning.

To be honest, I love the stock seat — both for the way it looks as well as the way it feels (padding density and shape). I'm only 5'8" and could understand someone taller wanting a thicker seat. Even if I were in that situation, I'd imagine that I would want a taller version of the factory seat.

Obviously we all have different tastes and ergonomic needs, so it's really nice that there are quite a few options out there to choose from. I don't know if Honda will sell enough of this bike to justify more local options for those of us in the States. It will be interesting to see what time has in store for the CB1100 as well as the local aftermarket for the bike.

Anyway, I installed both right away. The seat was easy. I just had to transfer a couple brackets from the stock seat. The rack was a little more complicated, but really only required removing 4 bolts and wrangling it into place.

I'll give my impressions of the seat after I have a couple weeks on it. For now I just went for a 2 mile jaunt to check it out. It's definitely flatter and seems slightly wider than the stock seat. The foam is nice and firm. I think I'm going to really like it, but it's too soon to tell.

I take it that is the lower 15mm cozy seat?

Good question. I have no idea.

Good question. I have no idea.
Apparently the Cozy seat is offered in two different heights. Compared to the stock Japan market seat (775 mm or 30.5 in), one is 15mm higher (790 mm or 31.1 in) the other is 30 mm higher (805 mm or 31.7 in).

By comparison the seat height for the stock OEM seat in North America is 20 mm higher (795 mm or 31.3 in).

Obviously the wider width of the Cozy seats will also have an impact on the overall ergonomic effect.

OK.....I hope this doesn't get to confusing.......I'm trying to figure this out....

Japan stock seat is 20mm lower then the American stock seat.

+15mm will actually be -5mm for the american version

+30mm will actually be +10mm for the american version

American stock is according to the specifications is 31.3

Samurider offers in inches Low @ 30.7

Samurider offers in inches Tall @ 31.3

Samurider offers the Honda official seat @ 31.6

I want to get this cozy seat, even though I've only ridden mine about 5 miles
I'm happy with the height of this seat, adjusting for the wider width of the cozy my guess would be to order the one from Samurider 31.3 assuming that this will be the american stock height? I don't think I will mind the feeling of the seat making me feel a little taller because of it being wider
The only thing I don't like is the stock seat making me lean more forward more then I care for...

I may even want to put some risers on to help in straightening me up.

I would appreciate the guys that have bought the cozy if it eliminated the pushing and leaning forward feeling that I don't want. I'm pushing around 5'
8" and 9" tall with a 29 to 30 inch inseam.

Also did you feel that the cozy was more comfortable then the stock seat.

I have a Honda 250L enduro street bike that I put a Corbin seat on it and absolutely love it.... I can ride forever compared to the stock seat. I don't particularly care for the Corbin that they make for CB 1100, except for Chip Becks version. I like the appeal of the cozy much better, but don't want to regret buying the cozy knowing that my derriere loves the Corbin.

Sorry for the long winded post, but after being a lurker since this board came to be, I know I will get some good advice and or opinions. Worship

I love my new bike, but I knew going in I will need, want to make some adjustments.....Thumbs Up

Thanks in advance......Steve aka Headbanger02 Thanks
