Combined with its greater width, the seat should provide more leg room for taller riders. Part number for the vinyl seat is OSK-ZX-MGC07. Global.rakuten.com has it for 36,900 yen or about $390 plus shipping. Very tempting!

I was getting excited when I saw this. I've been looking for a taller seat since i'm almost 6'5". Looking at they're site today though the price is listed at 42,000 yen which is $685 US. yow! i can't justify that much for a seat. I just hope some US makers come out with something soon that's a little more affordable.

I believe the current exchange rate is roughly 100 yen to a dollar but this fluctuates day to day.

I placed an order for Honda's tall accessory seat last night, but at this point I'm not sure if it's going to go through.

Global Ratuken only ships within Japan, and instructs overseas buyers to set up a forwarding service. The forwarding service in turn provides a local Japanese address and phone number to give to the seller. When they receive the shipment, the service forwards the package overseas, all for a small fee. I used Global Ratuken's recommended service but had issues trying to pay the $14 fee to that service.

Global Ratuken's confirmation e-mail said to expect another e-mail in a few days with the shipping fee. Then I have to confirm those charges in order to complete the transaction. Otherwise everything is cancelled.

It's not a user friendly experience for US buyers but I hope to have a factory seat that's 20mm higher than the US seat........in a month or so. Maybe.

hmmmm.. google's exchange converter is way off then. i did it through another site and it's saying only $427US. still a little more than I'd like to spend on a seat at this point.

Sounds like a nightmare to deal with. Hopefully you get it though and can give us an update.

FYI--I tried to order a taller Cozy Seat (74922) from Webike a few days ago, and was informed they're on back order until August. I canceled the order for now.

I saw that Corbin makes a seat for the CB11 the other day, $453 for just the seat but they have a passenger backrest and backrest storage options.

That's a little disapointing. The stock seat is my only gripe with the CB11 and I was hoping to replace it in the coming weeks. Hopefully some other options as alluring as the Cozy will come out in the meantime.

I received a cancellation e-mail from Ratuken on my order for the Honda K-style seat, the 1970s model one that's 815mm high. I'm not sure of the reason since the e-mail was entirely in Japanese, but it came from order-cancel@rakuten.co.jp. Guess I'm going to have to find other ways to get into trouble with the bike, like maybe over at http://www.samurider.com/?cat=98 which seems friendlier to US customers.Smile
