Cannot help presenting this (related) consumer survey, published by motofomo, a website I really like for it's down-to-earth reviews and other pages on m/c.
Why do I show it here - of course .... - of course !!!
because it confirms my earlier view.

Just like I suspected...Royal Enfield is at the very top.
And I'm going to assume that Harley Davidson is that thin orange slice to the right of RE.

Leveraging that logic, that puts HD "at the top".

If Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, are represented, what comprise "Japanese" which accounts for over double the amount of Kawasaki and Suzuki combined?

From my experience, I would choose Honda over Yamaha.

So... Royal Enfield is at the top, that means it's the best, right?

Good question, Ollie. And where is HD?

My impression, over the past 6 decades, is that Honda is #1 in durability/reliability, followed by Yamaha.
Never had a Kawasaki, but came close once.
Never had a Suzuki, but would buy a Samurai for exploring, if still made.
I've had 8 Hondas, 7 Yamahas and all were reliable.
Kawasaki has some strong performers, as does Suzuki.

Just for whatever it's worth ...
Two guys now reporting that their z900rs' indicators "fell off". Yes you read it right, Bikes 2 1/2 years old, not damage of any kind, no vandalism. One of them shows pictures. One morning the owner had gone to his garage, and the light is hanging down from the side of the bike. A few months later, same thing on the other side. Other member's of the z900rs forum come up with all sorts of weird explanations. But fact is, the plastic piece holding the light is "done / gone" with. No other suitable explanation then "aging".
