I have mentioned in other posts that I rode my '13 stock for a year (except for the windshield) before deciding on farkles. The idea was to see what all of the other owners on this site did, then pick and choose my favorites. Thanks, guys!

Starting last month I broke out the credit card and started ordering (mostly from Takashi). Here's the list :

Hepco & Becker Alurack
Plot Fork Brace
Plot Chrome Chain Guard
Over Racing Engine Guards
Force Design Red Side Covers (with matching tank stripe)
Go Cruise Throttle Lock (polished aluminum)
Grab-On Grip Covers

Spent some quality time over the weekend installing everything and I think it turned out great.

Someone mentioned last week that they wanted to see the Plot fork brace installed :

I finished installing everything last night and was pleasantly surprised when I got it out in daylight today. The only other changes I might make would be adding either auxillary lights or highway pegs to the crash bar.

Loving those side panels. I didn't think I'd like the gold emblems but they look great too. May have to change my order.

The Alurack looks great too.

Nice going!!!

Yep. Installing that big pile of shiny bits was like a crazy party. I was almost sad when I ran out Wink

I thought the gold would really pop against the red. I think it came out well. I bought the emblems separately from Takashi. $30 and they come with the sticky backing.

If I can find one the right size, I'd like to add a pad to the grab rail on the Alurack.

Looks great. I'm looking at engine guards also but not sure which ones to get. Yours looks good. Send samurider a pic of your bike. He should use it in his ad to show how parts look installed

Engine guards? What for? The CB forum will be getting a bad reputation. Knee down? Foot down? Nope, this is the CB forum where we put the bike down Smile

ROFL

Actually, Ridem is correct. I got them mostly for looks and also to have a nice place to put mount aux lights or highway pegs.

As for their intended purpose, I haven't put a scratch on a motorcycle since 1988 (knock wood). Even so, I also ordered a set of H & B guards for my CB750, just for looks. If the worst should happen, I'll be glad they're there.

I like the idea of engine bars after my near miss on diesel a while back.

That engine is big and pokey outs, mid imagine a new set of engine bars is a lot cheaper than a smashed up engine. Plus you can ride home from the accident as all your oil won't be lying in the gutter in a pool of iron filings.
