A question about modifications
So, reading all the mods here and wondering if people wait until after their warranty ends prior to modifying or just do the mods i.e. ECU flash, pipes, etc... and hope the warranty isn't affected?
I'm never been much of a mod person, can't think of any mods i have done besides perhaps bending the baffles a little on another bike for a little more sound in my younger days or changing out the front sprocket on a Honda 3 wheeler for lower gearing. Anymore, biggest mod for me is getting a windscreen or a tank bag. But I do like reading about all the stuff you all do to your rides, would like to hear the results of such after a few years to see if they damaged the ride.

RE: A question about modifications
I've heavily modified most of everything I have owned. As far as simple stuff like exhaust, filters, etc it won't affect your warranty. Since my bike is still new and in warranty, I'm making sure that all the modifications I'm doing are reversible. So if I must file a claim, I can set the bike back to stock to avoid issues. Its not being dishonest. I know a muffler and a tune won't cause any problems, but I know a dealer may try everything to deny a claim. Simplifies the whole process for everyone. If I do something though that causes an issue with the bike, I make it my moral obligation to own up to it. Everyone is different though.

RE: A question about modifications
I did a few mods before the 1st year but kept all the parts to put back to stock. Even stock ECU's can be purchased if need be to put back to stock.
