Another exhaust thread

Has anyone installed a 2014 exhaust system on a 2013? Seems to me there was a post on the subject several weeks ago but it was posted as part of some other modifications. I understand the headers on a 2014 are a different diameter than 2013?

Mr. T is also showing a 4 into 2 complete system, Yamamoto Part #11103-82MSN that look very similar to stock 2014. Does anyone have any info on these pipes? I'm wanting to swap my 4 into 1 out but am not sold yet on how the Moriwaki pipes "flare out" away from the bike at the ends.

I don't recall a thread where anyone has done this. It would be a pretty expensive operation, and there are no dlx take off systems around because they are so new and no one is making an exhaust for it yet.. maybe not anyone, but very limited.

yes I would be interested in this. Also why wouldn't 83 Vance Himes system work? It's a 1100 ?

Just because it's "the same", doesn't mean its actually the same. The exhaust ports could have different spacing, use different gaskets, different bolt patterns or the shape of the frame could be such that the pipes wouldn't clear something or the oil filter could be in the way or unable to be removed due to the pipe layout.
It's kinda like saying a Buick, Chevy, Pontiac and Oldsmobile 350 should all interchange because they are all 350's, but it's just not the case.

When I inquired about trading my 2013 for a 2014 because I liked the look of the 2014 better, the dealer suggested that I just order an exhaust system for a 2014 from Honda. When I asked if they would fit, he said he didn't know.

In regards to the thread that mentioned this particular conversion, I remember it was a guy who just bought spoked wheels for his 2013 and that his next mod was adding a 2014 exhaust system. Don't remember the his user name or the title of the thread. I was just curious if he was successful.

i have done this swap. search on "spoked wheels" which was my post on the first project i did on my 2013 CB 1100. Bought 2014 DLX exhaust system and hardware from Procaliber. It fits fine with a couple of caveats. The 2013 frame lacks a left side support bracket for the header. It also lacks a bracket to retain the center stand return springs for the 2014 center stand which moves the springs inboard to the center of the bike for left side exhaust clearance. also the ECU location on the 2013 frame interferes with the new return spring location and must be re-located where it sits on the 2014 frame. Ferret posted pictures of the 2014 component locations. a good fabricator can do this work, paint the new brackets and make it look OEM. Found a guy to do this in socal.

I posted pics of the bike w spoked wheels and dual exhaust. It did not have the center stand or the hidden exh bracket at the time.

Next Prj is to get the 2014 seat and the 2013 side rails to parallel alignment.

Saw your wheel post, that is truly a gorgeous motorcycle. It's what the CB should have looked like in the first place. I've always been lukewarm on the blacked out engine but the twin factory pipes coming off the waterfall header really sets your bike apart. Almost reminds me of a '74 Z-1.

I like the 750 too, had one just like it "back in the day"!
