I frequent a Road Star forum and many over there are followers of "The Dark Side" and swear by it. I learned long ago to avoid the subject as disagreement always follows.Dodgy

Remember, your insurance company can refuse to pay a claim if your tires are not the size listed on the manufacturer tire info sticker. Plus, the bike turns so sweet with the stock set up.

Hi all,
long time not write, main reason is Chinese Government block google and is very difficult to get in some webs, started to use VPN few weeks ago but it doesn't work as good I would like.
I want to post some information about the tires, a month ago I realized need change the rear tire, I ask my friend, the guy who import the bike from USA to check few options due was not possible to get the same original tires in China, finally decides to change both, after check few we found interesting options for Bridgestone, 120 70 80 front side and 160 60 80 for rear side.
I installed today, not need change anything or remove central step.
First impression after ride for a while was bike feels little bit more heavy in traffic, some thing very important in a 8 million population city like Hangzhou, especially full of electric bikes and thousands of people to avoid so I got out of the city looking for a sharp road.....
Wow....
With this new tires the bike gave me lot of confidence, ride is completely different, same speed, same power but 100 times better, hope my experience can help some one, same as all information I got from this forum helped me in the past, tried to post some pics but I couldn't.
If some one interested I can send by email with more details.
Cheers.

Jose, TY for posting.

Its good to see the 120-70-18 front fits with no issues. I almost pulled the trigger on that size front when i bought new tires. I knew i wanted Michelin tires but was unsure of the front until I came across this article.

It seems putting it on a 2.5 rim would squeeze almost all the benefit of a wider tire to almost a stock height and width.
