Yes, they are only paying for what was damaged, but some things don't really need replacement. For example, they are paying for a new front brake lever because it's scraped. Well, I'm not replacing it. I'm just buying some RLETs instead. There's a bunch of things like that, so I'm sitting down with my favorite service guy, Fred, and we're going to plot out a course of action that may include some mods, but that replaces any parts that really need replacing. I still have not decided about the exhaust, but I will let y'all know as soon as I figure it all out. BTW, from where does one procure RLETs?

OK...Decision all but made: going to get the Yosh full exhaust. My favorite mechanic has heard the pipe live (someone on this forum lives close to me and had it installed by him) and says it's not very loud. I'm going to keep the stock can and pipes in case I hate it, though.

So here's the question...I don't like the Yosh sticker that comes on the tail pipe. I want to remove it and replace it with either a Honda "wing" sticker or an HRC sticker. Anyone know where I could get a heat resistant Honda sticker?

I replaced mine with this:::

[Image: f4d17b8f93e38436ad5d33c1a394860e.jpg]

I bought a package of 3 off ebay from guy in Thailand.

[url=http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X+YOSHIMURA+JAPAN+Exhaust+Aluminium+plate+hrc&_nkw=+YOSHIMURA+JAPAN+Exhaust+Aluminium+plate+hrc&_sacat=0]http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40...c&_sacat=0

They have to be pre-bent using a 1 1/2 pipe to get the proper contour before install or they won't stick properly.

I don't have any left, used two and sent one to Greg.

That looks very cool and it may be what I wind up with, but I'm still looking for one that has just the HRC logo or, better still, the RSC logo (or possible a red Honda Wing). I'm searching, but not finding. If anyone knows of a source for this, let me know.

Thanks, everyone, for their input on my first real mod. I appreciate it.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Wyvern 4 into 4. Yes, you can't have a centerstand anymore but darn, nothing looks more retro 750 than those 4 pipes. Anyone have any experience in how loud it is compared to the Staintune? I don't know if there is a db rating for the Staintune to compare. The sound clips on-line don't help much. Anyone have any experience with the Wyvern?

I've seen and heard a four in to four this summer up in Cave Creek. Sounds a bit sharper (angrier?) than stock. I MAY find it too loud for long trips, it's on the edge. But for in town, sounded really nice. Not nice enough to loose the center stand though. I'm not sure what brand of 4 N2 4 it was either; there are at least two out there.
Checked Google Images and the one I saw was a different brand. The silencers have a bit of sweep to them, very attractive, but a bit less traditional looking than the Wyvern.

It sounds like you saw the Pipe Masters exhaust. By the outlet design I'm speculating the Wyverns would be quieter. Maybe there is someone out there who has some experience with the Wyvern.

You were probably looking at the Pipemasters 4into4 (the only other type I've heard of). They have a distinctive sweep. The Wyverns are easily identified by the heat guard on the upper pipe and cone shaped tips.

Pipemasters
