e-cushion seat

I just noticed on the Samurider page he has a seat using Honda's new e-cushion material. Am I slow or is this new? Has anybody heard if this is much better than the "old" stuff or not? I've been thinking about a seat upgrade.

Interesting. $306. http://www.samurider.com/?p=14350/#itemImage I tried to open the smaller images on the page to see the different angles of the seat but for some reason could not. It looks very close to stock. I'd love to hear from anyone riding on it.

I always assumed that this was the version of the seat that comes with the CB1100 in Japan.

I purchased the ecushion seat over a year ago. It looks almost exactly like the stock seat and is no more or less comfortable. The reason I bought mine is for the 30" seat height.

Took the plunge and ordered the seat from Samurider. Absolutely great transaction and I got the seat faster than some things I've ordered in the US. Plus, Mr. T packed it with some Japanese newspapers which the kids got a kick out of.

Profile pics. e-cushion seat is the skinnier one. 30 inch seat height vs 31.2 for the american/US model.

I rode about 200 miles on it yesterday. I really didn't notice the shorter seat height. I believe there was a difference comfort wise. The seat is firmer, but it changes the pressure points enough to make riding more comfortable.
