As part of the breakdown of my wheels for the powdercoating, I am replacing all of the bearings, seals and fasteners. One additional thing I am doing while I have the chance is resurfacing the front rotors.

I had a very faint braking shimmy in the front that I wasn't quite able to rid of in doing the usual (checked steering head bearings free play, tire pressure and inspection, new pads, bled brakes, checked for free play and runout, etc.). With the new tires, bearings and resurfaced rotors, I should eliminate the final factors which could contribute to the shimmy. It's a bit of extra insurance that is worth it while I have everything apart.

I sent the rotors out to Tom at TrueDisk. I wish I had taken some before pictures because what he sent back was nothing short of amazing. For 45 dollars per rotor (plus shipping) this is what I received back:

Got the wheels back from powdercoat and they look fantastic.

Put all new seals and bearings in the wheels. Also finished off the rotors with new fasteners. Wheels are out getting the new tires put back on now.

more pictures to follow as I get things back on the bike.

OK lots of progress today. I got the wheels back and finished getting everything on the bike.

New cush drive rubber, all new fasteners, bearings, seals, spacers, right angle valve stems, etc. The grab bars and front short fender have been powdercoated the same black as the wheels.
Tires are 110/80ZR-18 and 160/60ZR-18 Pirelli Angel GT.

I'm still waiting on my special order 19T front sprocket so I haven't put the chain on yet, but for the most part I've got everything on there now. Came together awesome. I really like the look of the black when it's not complete blackout and has some brushed metal and red to go with it.

On to some pictures:

Just for before/after sake, I've got this picture from the ad when I bought the bike:
