I’m curious to hear how many have ever had a helmet stolen off their bike while out riding.
I always question my own worry about that happening to me. Half the time I lock my helmet half the time I don’t depending on where I am. But if it ever did get taken it would make for a messed up day.

I've never had one stolen (knock on wood) sometimes I lock it up, most times I don't. Sometimes I just sit it on the ground next to the left footpeg when I go in someplace.

I have never had a helmet stolen, and do not know anyone that has. I dont like hanging an expensive helmet on the side of my bike with the "helmet lock", and supposedly, it is not good for the impact absorbing helmet liner to set the helmet on a mirror. I once saw someone leave his or her helmet on the bike seat. A gust of wind blew the helmet off the seat, and clunk, it hit the ground. Not good.
Whenever I am off the bike, I fasten the chin strap, and use it as a handle to carry it with me. I figure it is a small price to pay, considering the cost of a good helmet, and because I am anal retentive about taking good care of my stuff. Then there is one more wrinkle. I live in Texas, and I dont want to return to my bike, and put a helmet on my head that has been baking in the sun.
If I had my druthers, Honda would change the helmet lock to a built in factory battery tender receptacle, with a waterproof weather cover, but thats just me.

Never had one stolen but it's something that can play on the mind. Generally lock it on the helmet lock, which works pretty well, if parking for a while. For short stops just put it on the groiund.

I've never had one stolen, but if I can't take it with me, I always lock it to the bike if I'm going to be away from the bike and out of sight.
It also depends on where I am and what the risk may be.

I've never had one stolen, always lock it and take it with me, no chances.

When I used to work in motorcycle shops, I would occasionally hear from/about customers whose helmets were stolen off bikes, including some with the straps cut off. We even had people coming in asking for replacement straps - they generally got the stink eye.
And like others, I usually carry mine with me. I took the helmet lock off my bike since I never use it, blocking off the holes with black screws.

I always take my helmet with me when I leave my bike , too costly to replace before time.

Never had my helmet stolen, but on December 18th, 1976 I had my beautiful 1975 Kawasaki 900 stolen. I still lust to replace it, but 1975's go for a very hefty price on the "used" market!

I’ve never lost a helmet to a thief.
