By the way, I was just looking at the Michelin US site and it suggests the PR3s are available in 110/80/18 for the front and 160/70/18 for the rear. https://motorcycle.michelinman.com/motor...lot-road-3
They're tough to find though. I found them on Amazon after a lot of searching but ended up buying them from my shop because he gave me similar pricing. He had to buy the front and rear from two different distributors though because nobody had both.

I use them on my CB750 and am on my third set. I think they are good all around performers and I always get excellent mileage out of them. If the PR3 were not available, I'd go with the BT-45s on the CB1100 as well.

I think Cormanus has used the BT-45 on his CB1100. Perhaps he'll chime in.

Thanks Flynn, they come in bias ply and radial. I choose the radial. I think I made the right choice since I couldn't find the Michelin PR3's for sale anywhere.

Well, that would be an interesting development. I'd be very interested in a radial version of the BT-45.

I checked all the ones I could find on Chapmoto.com and all I could find was the bias version. Can you send me a link to the radials please?

Thanks!

I’d be interested in that too.

I already put 10mm oversized PR3 on the rear. That's the only option, PR4-5 are not available in our sizes.

I’m switching from the PR3 to Pirelli Angel GT this weekend. Have almost 12k on the PR3s and they went away fast at the end as previously reported.

I have the Angel GTs on my ST1300 and like them. I’m thinking of ordering some for the CB too.

Thanks for posting. It looks like you went for the BT-54s instead of BT-45s. The BT-54s are the stock Bridgestone radials that came on some CB1100s.

I was happy with their performance, but not crazy about the relatively thin tread on the front, which tended to wear out faster than I'd like.

The Angel GTs also wear very fast at the end of their life. If they seem to do OK until then.

After riding home on the GT’s, I have to say they felt like a new set of PR3’s. On the road home there were a few kinks to play on and the GTs just sailed through. The aging PR3 had some cupping and were squared off and so felt a little strange at the end though not unsafe. I’m glad to have such good non-oem options.
