I just put a Bridgestone t30 on front and another BT on rear. 3rd set, 15k miles out of 2 sets.

ran RP3's on my previous bike with great results on both wet and dry pavement, gravel was as scary as ever. Good tires.

I tried really, really hard to erase as much chicken strip as I could on my rear PR3 yesterday. This is as close as I could come.

G'day Ferret. That kind of ties in with [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7160]this thread. I have finally spent some time on the edges of my 160 Angel GTs. The chicken strips have, effectively, gone. All the tread is in use.

But I am now on my second set of cap bolts. I might order a set of the shorter bolts that Django uses.

I believe that the 160 rears really suit this bike.

Cheers

G'day mate. First lot on the Omeo and second on the Putty Road (10mile) and a few runs up and down the Old Pacific.

Cheers

Well it's about time for some new tires. The Pilot Road 3's have worn well. No cupping or weird wear patterns. I run 38 front and 40 rear in my tires. Front is down to 2/32 tread but looks good. Could go another couple thou I think.

What rear looked like when I started this thread December 2014

And what it looks like now March 2016 with just under 11,000 miles. The center stripe is about gone (it is in places around the tire). Certainly wouldn't make the rally lol.

Ordered a new set of PR3's today. Should be in either Friday or Monday I'm guessing. Have a set of 90 degree valve stems from KurvyGurl ready to be put in the rims and a new set of brake pads to go in all the way around as the old ones are getting down there with a little over 19,000 on them. will be nice to be on new rubber again.

11,000 miles, that's quite a lot.

I've never had one on my bike, but my friends do usually about 6,000 - 7,000 km! on a MPR3.
