hellfire vs plexistar 2 windshields
#1

[b]after seeing ben's plexistar 2, I decided to buy one.. it came in yesterday and I installed it.. my old hellfire isn't bad, but I found it to be short by about 2 inches in height.. when I tried to get the correct angle of deflection, it made the hellfire even shorter !! .. the plexistar gives me just what I wanted.. I took the plexistar out for a test ride today.. I am very happy !! .. here are some of my pics with captions ..

Nothing like grabbing a cold one out of the white frig after a successful project like the Plexistar 2, eh Chuckk? Smile

Well done.

Would love to ride in a Cali-forn-eye-ay winter.

thanks G.O... I do keep some in there, mainly for guests.. I had quite the time installing the hardware for the plexistar.. with all of my gadgets etc.. could you get a pretty good idea of the size of the two windshields when I laid the hellfire on top of the plexistar.. there isn't too much difference in size..I did notice that my hands were protected from the wind.. that will be nice when the colder weather comes.. I check my m.p.g each time I come back from a ride, so I will be sure to verify todays calculations..

The look of the PS2 is enhanced with a nice set of rlets. Sort of like cuff links. On a Playboy bunny.
Nice pics, glad it's working for you.

Ben

left overs from the 120 bikes I had.. about 2 years ago, I decided to pack it in and not restore any more bikes.. I had tons of good parts.. some I sold and some I gave to a friend of mine who has a motorcycle salvage company.. he agreed to "take it all" so it was just one load after another.. I mainly restored older goldwings.. you may be able to tell that from the seats..

before G.O. points it out.. (he is so darned observant).. yes my bench was a little messy.. but I knew where a lot of thing were when I needed them.. here is the before and after.. I had to widen my path in to my back yard of a tri-plex I own, I had my 1800 goldwing converted into a tilting motor works trike..now I work up front mainly in my little garage where the seats are..

Love your Wings. Great job on those. A man came in my restaurant the other day ogling my CB. We got to talking and he said he has a '75. The 197th ever produced. I asked if it runs well, he said it did when I parked it 2 years ago. You know what comes next...can I buy it (always wanted a '75). May be in the works. I have a sickness.

Not a sickness; a passion that burns within. You are feelin' the burn.

If you had indicated a '75 HD of some sort, then one may suggest you caught a sloppy cold.

Chuckk's Wings are indeed pretty amazing.

Based on the image, the finishing of the bench doesn't look complete yet. Big Grin

However, the tassel was worth the hassle. Smile

What a handy beer table it could be.
