Possible low risk Feature Request?

* Record highest [engine] temperature detected during ride. Debounce the reading say for about 10 to 30 seconds to ensure it is valid.
* In terms of air ambient temperature, warn rider when approaching freezing point (e.g. increased risk of black ice situations).

Black ice warning is no problem. Will add it to the firmware.
Highest oil temp reading is doable, but will have to think about how and where to display. On bikes without coolant temp (CB1100...) the space reserved for coolant temp could be used. Currently there is an "oil too hot" warning already implemented.

Ah, "oil too hot" ... did not know.

Would that temperature value be communicated in a User's Manual?

GO: "Oil hot" alarm menans that the top line of the display is replaced with an alternating "OIL!" warning and the actual oil temperature value being displayed. It is now hard-coded to come up at ~128C or ~260F, but working on adding user-adjustable threshold to the menu. Same applies to coolant temperature alert (>110C or 230F), with oil having priority (if both are too hot, oil warning will be displayed).
Please go easy on me with this... Attached the first, very "preliminary" version of the installation/owners manual. I'd like to hear your oppinion regarding the language (is it easy to follow?) and the content. Will keep working on it and add pictures (or replace crappy ones). Let me know if you have any comments/suggestions/recommendations.

I took a brief, but complete look at the document and it is a great start with strong bones. I will take a second and deeper pass. Very good Art!

Question:

Will system configuration parameters be stored in non-volatile memory, or RAM? That is, will the configuration parameters survive a battery disconnect?

Given that it's recommended the module be wired into a circuit linked to the ignition, I'm guessing the configuration will be stored in non-volatile memory.

How did I do?
