Ikons 7610

Just added a set of Ikon 7610's purchased from a forum member who had sold his CB.

Now, I have added aftermarket suspension to a couple of bikes before the CB, most recently my Triumph T-100. Approx 8-9 years ago I put a low end set of Hagons on the Bonnie with a set of progressive fork springs up front. It was obviously an improvement over stock and it handles much better on the twisty mountain roads I like to ride. As far as ride quality on an everyday road, better but still lacking over bumps and heaves.

After a 20 mile test ride (in the rain) I can say the difference the Ikons make to the CB ride quality is much, much better. I din't get to lean her over much (rain) but I'm sure this will impress as well. Perhaps it's the damping adjustment. Never had a sport bike, or aftermarket shocks with this variable, so I've never had any adjustment to play with. Night and day.

If your running on the stock springs and are on the fence about switching up. No brainer. I would recommend these even at full price. Worth the loot.

I agree with you about upgrading shocks and forks, although the 2017 shocks are better than the earlier ones I still plan to put Ohlins on the back very soon.
A smooth ride is so much better for my back and confidence.

After my first bout with the twisties on the CB years ago I had to adjust the front way stiffer. Thought I was OK with it. After the new set up on the rear the front may need some love now.

Same thing happened on the Bonnie. Went the easy route first and replaced the rear and it just proved how lacking the front was as well.

I have done the same . Progressive springs, heavier wt. and the Ikons. . Night and day. I ride pretty hard. And I am well over 200lbs..

I'm a believer as well.

My CB is a completely different bike after installing the Ikons and a set of '17 Honda OEM forks.

I may just have to settle for new springs. As much as I would love to drop in some 17 forks the price tag is a little prohibitive with a newborn at the house.

Shoot, the chunk I just spent snatching up a forum members take offs and my RD project hopefully about to get into swing I'm surprised my girl hasn't said anything. She's a good one.

Perhaps someday I'll go that route. Your write up about it sounds like they are amazing over the stock bits.

changing out springs only changes the spring tension it does nothing for dampening the fork
Traxxion Dynamics damper kit is $300 and changes all the guts out of the fork and is a significant improvement
after that you feel the need for the rears. i used progressive 490 rear shocks
this combo firms up the ride as it should have been from honda
