Sturgis Cancelled (for me)

I’ve had to cancel three overseas trips due to Covid restrictions.

My Beemer riding buddy and I were forced to cancel 6-7 Kms/12 day trip to Newfoundland ... also my wife's Euro vacation is gone as well.
Quietly was also dreaming about Euro-moto trip....gone
Bad times, Covid19 is to be blamed for it.

Our trip to England in September was cancelled by Delta some weeks ago , we will get our money back from Travelocity. Accommodation was also fully paid in December but refunded last week. Such a shame , world will be very different for I think a long time.

I'm beginning to wonder if the rally in Pa is a good idea this year.

I am quietly crossing my fingers and planning a social distancing strategy. Masks and straws for the beer? I dunno. It's hard times for sure. On another and more positive note, I think we are close to having art for the shirts!

Heck NY, Conn, New Jersey are requiring resident of my state to quarantine for 14 days before going outside lol

Pennsylvania has a quarantine list as well. 20 states on it the last I checked but it is voluntary, a recommendation if you will. I'm still planning my trip south in August which will likely include two of those states, N.C. and Tennessee. But I look at it this way, the areas I'll be visiting are not hot spots and less populated, no more or maybe even less risk than where I live and work. As long as I take precautions as I do at home I don't see it as unacceptable risk.

The area of the rally is in north central PA, an area that has been spared for the most part partly because it's less populated but also because of the proactive steps the state took. I'm hoping that those conditions remain for the rally and things improve elsewhere to enable everyone to attend.
