You know, instead of the R9T and Griso, the Bonneville should be included in these retro comparisons with the CB. Nice bike sir.

I like the Bonnevilles but good luck oiling the chain. On my 919 I just jacked the bike up by the swingarm and it was a piece of cake to oil it as much as often as I wanted in a few seconds.

A completely different bike versus the CB11 .... At least as I have it setup.
Stock, the Bonnevilles are slow compared to the CB. As I have it setup, it's pushing close to 95 to 100 hp. It's stiff, raw, rough and allot of fun. Loud as a NASCAR.
The CB is smooth, quick, comfortable and the bike for all day riding.
Depends on the mood .... Love both.

I used a small Harbor Freight lift under mine to oil the chain ( and adj chain, change tires etc). When I sold it to my younger brother he bought the factory optional centerstand.

I think the Bonnie is a beautiful bike. I had an '07 but traded it in towards the VFR. It would have been nice to have been able to keep it (and the VFR) (and the CB) and all my previous bikes too!

You have a very sweet Bonnie there, Bob. Beautiful color and an impressive list of mods.
To my old eye, there is just something about aluminum rims and spokes that make me go ga-ga.
Its almost like a foot fetish!
