It's a leftover parts bike and they sold so well that's what happens. I just hope they saved enough spare parts for you guys down the road....

Maybe some reflective insulation? So does that mean you will be buying the updated model and starting all over again? You know you will

I was afraid you'd say the geometry was fixed. Oh well. Push come to shove, why couldn't they just produce more bits instead of relying on stock? I suppose they are not selling enough to ramp up production.

You guys are right, that high-pipe is to close to the shock reservoir. I contacted Kyle Racing the dealer. He said some other bikes are as close as a 1/2 to 5/8ths. I asked about my 3/8ths he said that was close but thinks the Ohlins will be fine. I put the stock Akrapovic muffler back on and had forgotten how pretty the OE one is.
Plenty of room now, weather looks good for a Saturday ride so I'll get some actual exhaust temps with shock at a safe distance. Your rear tire has a lot of warts
Ack a couple of the bike reports including the WSJ one posted today, reports the clutch actuation is not so good. Is it that way on yours? I don't remember that being the case on the R1200R I rented and wonder what the difference could be?

Those OE cans are pretty nice.

My last 2 were hexheads 05-09. This next gen camhead 10-13 shifts very close to CB smooth. It was a huge surprise on my 1st ride. Then I put shockproof gear oil in the trans and it smoothed more to match that wet clutch smoothness. Went for a little scoot on sat, was a little cold 45-48ish but the Ohlins are awesome.
