Picked up the bike, odo showing 0 Monday afternoon, rode it 4 to my friend Jamie's house where I parked it for the night. Rolled into my buddy Kimball's house in Knoxville today, showing 492 miles. We did the 500 mile service and will be heading to the Dragon for breakfast around 9 this morning. Riding position is good, seat nice and firm. Density reminds me of a Corbin. I varied speeds from 60ish to 80's to flow with traffic. Power is phenomenal, even in standard mode. Will easily lift the front through second gear. Feels and handles like a supermoto on steroids.
Averaging 48+ mpg, cruising between 70 and 80 the last couple hundred miles. Garnered almost as many compliments at fill ups as I do with the CB. The plant is smooth, electric motor like with good torque. With ABS, traction control, 3 range power mode (can't wait to try A today), slipper clutch, awesome suspension upgrade and razor sharp handling geometry, this bike is going to be a drivers license challenger I'm thinking. Driving range is 120 to 130 miles with a little room to spare. It's making a welcome addition to the stable, alongside the trusty CB After The Gap, I'll be heading home via 441, my normal route. Redbirds, if you and Sparky want to meet for dinner, I'm planning on staying at my usual spot, The World Inn at McRae GA tonight. Should be home Thursday PM unless I get distracted

It will be interesting to see if this machine holds your interest long term (e.g. over a year).

So many bikes, so little time
![]() Looks like I may be deviating from my previously planned route. Think I'll freestyle in N. Ga. For a bit

Just got my insurance invoice with the XSR added. Though motorcycles aren't required to be covered, I have over double the state required minimum coverage for automobiles, 'cause I like to play it safe
![]() The CB is extremely reasonable to insure, and with $250.00 deductibles, less than $200 a year. The XSR, 3X as much! Still not, IMO, an obscene number, but certainly higher than I was expecting to insure a 67 year old with a primo driving record. Even more interesting, the XSR costs less that the CB did. Anyway, not really complaining, still worth every penny
