kDiqq, the rule round here seems to be that, even if you abandon your CB, we still like to hear from you and learn about your new bike. Most of us are a motorcyclists first and CB o'philes second.

So keep us posted and show us some pictures of whatever you buy.

My goodness....there are still a few of these things available, unregistered and brand-new....for CHEAP!
For what would likely be about $6500 bucks, I'm seriously considering picking up a second bike (the CB is not going anywhere).

I've always loved these VFRs, but...
Would anyone have qualms about buying a bike that's been sitting in a showroom for possibly 3 years or more?

Would asking for new tires in the deal be prudent?

I don't think riding on three year old tires is an issue. Still, I completely agree -- those leftover Interceptors are a steal!
