It looks like the newest version of the RE Continental GT now has the same 650cc parallel twin that's in the new Interceptor (instead of the 500cc thumper that was in it before). This interests me because I think the GT might be better in every way than the interceptor now that it has that engine, and yet the INT650 is still the one getting all the press. Am I missing something that makes the INT650 better?

For me it’s the more upright riding position that makes the Interceptor preferable if I was to buy one.....they both are nice looking thou!

When you squint at a distance, the Enfield Interceptor starts to approach in look to a Bonneville.

It didn't go unnoticed by me. In all the YouTube videos that I watched the test riders preferred the Interceptor to the GT because of its comfortable riding position.
Each of them have the same frame, motor and 6 speed transmission. A 48 HP motor is suitable for something that looks like a 60s Triumph or BSA. But people here would expect something stronger for a modern café racer.
I like the looks of the [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdYDVufxkV4]Interceptor. It reminds me of my 48 HP BSA Lightnings. If the Interceptor has the same torque as the BSAs, it will be pleasant to ride. The chrome tank with the large black stripe on the top and gold pinstriping would be my choice.

Would you trade your CB for a RE Interceptor? Doubtful that I would, but man is it tempting. I really like that look, and for how I ride my CB, it's doubtful I'd notice any dropoff in real-world performance. We'll see!

The bike is a like for sure, but I would not trade the CB for it. In fantasy land, I would add it to the stable.

Beautiful looking bike but the gold piggy back shocks look out of place .

The image looks highly air-brushed. I wonder why Royal Enfield would even bother when there are many actual photos.
