Guth, the HiLux was the original model name for the Toyota pickup when it first appeared in North America:
The legendary Toyota Hilux was, at one point, a staple in the North American market. It was introduced with a 1.5L I4 engine and was available with regular cab and short bed modifications. For its second generation, the Hilux featured an upgraded engine and more comfortable interior.
For those of us old enough to remember, Toyota also sold a modest 4-door sedan in the U.S. called the Corona. What an unfortunate name today! It morphed into the Camry. The Corolla was also available at that time and has remained in the line up.
At the same time, Datsun (now Nissan) offered the 1.6L 510 coupe. These could be set up to give 240Z’s, BMW 2002’s and other sporty coupes a run for their money.

Lost interest in that first clip almost immediately. Just a bunch of "look at me! I'm in an airport! Look at me, I'm in a bar!" Just show me the bike already. Generally thought, watching that video made me think about how much I really like tacos. I guess because I was eating a taco at the time.

Heard people say MotoGuzzi V2 sound like old V8.

Edit - just moved this from another part of the forum. I transmogrified my posts...
I learned the value of Toyotas early on. My dad was an oilfield engineer, and worked overseas on contract projects. He would only come back to the U.S. long enough to get another job. So, he'd only spend a few hundred dollars on a used car, since he'd only need it for a few months. At first, he'd buy Pintos, Vegas and other cheap small American cars. Part of our ritual when he'd come back was to do a road trip from L.A. to Northern New Mexico to visit his family, which were my aunt, uncle, and cousins. Making these long trips in a dodgy old Pinto was always an adventure. I learned to pop a clutch to start a car, swap fuses, and do all sorts of other vehicular survival skills on these old cars at the age of 10.
Then, he bought a Corona, I think a 1972. It wouldn't die under any conditions. After that, his old beaters were always Toyotas. I entered college as he left for another job, he gifted me the old Corolla he was driving, and it lasted me through graduation.
My first new vehicle when I got out of college was a Toyota truck. I eventually sold it to a neighbor who used it in his plumbing business. Whenever I visit my old neighborhood, I still see it in his driveway.
Then again, you never can discount the longevity of other cars. My friend's '99 Ranger just rolled 398k on its original engine and clutch. My cousin's '95 Bronco has done over 350k.

As I mentioned in another thread, I’m rehabilitating my Father in Law’s 2010 Ford Escape. It is cleaning up better than I had hoped and only has 32,000 miles on it, albeit hard miles.
My wife has a 115k mile 2010 Honda CRV. She asked if it would make sense to sell the Honda and keep the Ford. I told her I’d rather take my chances with a high mile 10 year old Honda than a low mile 10 year old Ford.
And I’m a Ford man.
You are right the keep the Honda CRV , my wife's 2004 CRV has 186000 miles on it and still runs perfect.

I bought a new 1997 Honda CRV when I was in sales. Put a little over 200,000 trouble free miles on it and sold it to my daughter. She put another 118,000 miles on it before selling it.
Amazing cars.
