CB350 Cafe and Scrambler?
#1
The CB350 is no longer just for the Indian market. It's going to start selling in Japan. So maybe there's hope it will eventually come to the states...

There's also speculation that there could be Cafe and Scrambler models. Nope for me on a cafe version. However, a scrambler version is interesting. A 350 thumper would be just about perfect on all the dirt roads around here.

An attractive option for sure that could help spur on the market for otherwise would-be new riders.

Here are some pics of the new CB350 RS model. Although only a different rear fender and tail light, slightly chunkier tires, fork gaiters, and a straight seat, I think the new model looks great!! If Honda can do that with their CB350, they should at least sell a conversion kit for the CB1100.

Nice looking bike. Although, I just checked the weight. At 394 pounds, it is too heavy for a 350cc.
I wonder if should be lighter by at least 50 pounds for the USA market.

It's also a 21 hp single ( not a 36 hp twin like in the 60s /70s) designed for the Indian market to compete with the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

They have confirmed it is Euro 5 compliant so the little CB might hit Europe? A good city commute bike I suspect but the kids will prefer something more modern. It has some competition, the market is flooded with Chinese stuff, some awful and some not so bad. In Europe you can't really buy the complete Chinese rubbish on-line like you can in the USA, non of those carburetted models will ever meet the Euro regs and you just don't see them here. You can buy a lot of fuel injected Chines bikes (or parts sourced from China) down at that low end though, from the likes of Mash, Zontes, Bullit, Benelli, AJS, FB Mondial. Honda will have their work cut out for them if they enter Europe with that bike.

I had a CB350K4 Twin, I think the market for those solid well built small capacity premium bikes has gone maybe and so it has to be something like the singe 350?

pic is an FB-Mondial 300, looks quite nice.
