Stumbling down a YouTube rabbit hole, I found this video with tangential biker appeal. I love Tracey Ullman, and Kirsty MacColl as well. Enjoy!

I hadn't seen the previous version by Kirsty MacColl that Tracy Ullman covered a year later.
This one looks like the '60s, ferret!

Kirsty wrote it and had the first hit. She and Tracey Ullman were great friends and if you watch/listen to the two videos, they are very similar, with Kirsty singing backup on Tracey's version. I only posted Tracey's version because the motorcycle got more airtime
Something that I find interesting is the two have very different takes on the videos' conclusions. Maybe us nerds do have a chance after all!

Is the nerd in this one a very young Ade Edmondson? If so he became the complete opposite as the punk rocker in "The Young Ones" and "Bottom". Both old cult series in the UK, especially the Young Ones.
Pretty sharp, Tev!

Yeah, the two versions border on identical, lol.

Well, it's an early MTV music video from 1983 (my youth / young adult era). The '50s and early '60s were enjoying kind of a resurgence in cool / camp / nostalgia with the New Wave musical movement from that time, e.g. Stray Cats, B-52s, etc. I think they put the poster in the video to evoke that late '50s / early '60s culture.
