INT650
#11
Wow, Peking, that is a coincidence. I picked up the bike around 9:30 and returned it at 6:00, so that must have been someone else.
This is a basic video I did for the INT650. Mostly a dump of my footage without much editing, so it's pretty long. But, it's mostly for you guys, so you can skip around a bit. No music, so when wind noise isn't too loud, you can hear engine sounds.

Nice report Gone.

When it comes to the motor I am in the opposite camp. The 270 degree twin in my NC 750X (and my brothers 2016 T120 Bonnie) drives me nuts. Every time I ride it. Why take a perfectly good motor and purposely introduce an imbalance? I much prefered the 360 twin with balancer in my old 2003 T-100 Bonnie. In fact I would even prefer an unbalanced 360 twin like my old 650 Yamahas as compared to my 270.

Unfortunately for me, 270 twins are the " in thing" right now, like inline triples were a couple of years ago. Remember they were supposed to be torqey like a twin, but rev like an inline 4. Hot for a couple years, now no one even talks about them. Personally I hope the mfgs grow out of this 270 phase. Why have a paint shaker when you can have a blender? If I wanted a bike that " felt like a V Twin" , I'd buy a V Twin.

And to think people complained about the induced roughness in a CB 1100 motor lol

270s have a feel between a 180 and 360 degree engine.

In similar meaning, but different words to m in sc, 270s always has a piston in-motion. Having motion continues inertial force.

I enjoy riding my 2013 CB. I found it in Scottsdale, Az. Purchased there and rode it home to Portland, Oregon. All I can say is this motor has legs. I've always enjoyed twins as well and found a 2000 W650. That bike is so much fun to ride and it's always in the power band when the engine is running. Nice exhaust note and it has a "kick starter" too. I kept my very first bike, A '67 Honda 305 scrambler. Twin motors have character, both sound and feel. Every bike has a story, I'd like to share it with you all, enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87lRxhnil0c

Gone, came across this video of [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAircVPnvSs]Royal Enfield Factory - Oragadam, India

Since you're considering the INT650 and wondering about quality, I thought you might enjoy this video, even though I don't think they're actually making an INT.

The stripe painting on the tanks by hand is worth a look just for that alone.

The hand painting of the tank stripes always makes my jaw hang. Pretty amazing to watch every time.

Thanks, Pdedse. I've seen that one... in fact, my YouTube feed is now awash in INT650 videos. On Saturday, Mrs. and I stopped at a dealership close to Mom's house while on the way for a visit. They had a pretty good selection of all RE models, and the head sales guy was good to talk with. He understood what my main concern would be, parts availability, and said he stocks what people need most often. So, two competent dealers in the area, one close to home, one close to Mom's. That's comforting.

Mrs. thought they were very nice looking and could see why I was interested in them. She said orange would be her favorite color. Lifting it up and swinging a leg over, she thought it was pretty heavy. At least the seed is planted with her, no telling where we might go from here.

Yesterday was a nice break in the rain, so I rode to the museum for my Sunday shift. Stopped at The Bike Shed on the way home for a coffee to wake me up for the long ride home, and "visited" the bike I rented recently.

Gone: I would consider feelin' proud wearing the orange RE INT650.
