Farkle Fever
#1
Now that I have all the controls and suspension adjusted to my liking, it is time to start messing with stuff. Here are some of the things I am thinking about.

The tank seam. A popular mod is to add chrome or black car door edge protector to either hide or highlight the seam. I think I might go with the black.

Chain guard. I think a chrome one would be nice, are they available?

Front sprocket cover. I have seen silver ones on the Brit/Aussie version. The jury is still out, but I think it would look nicer if it matched the stator and clutch cover.

Rider pegs. A popular mod on the ZRX is to replace them with modified Buell pegs to make them lower.

Brake pads and stainless brake lines. The stock pads make the front wheel dirty. I liked using the EBC HH Sintered pads on my other bikes with stainless braided lines.

What is on your farkle list?

So far just a windscreen/fairing and a top case. That's about all the money I will have left after I pick up my bike.

So far, just the chrome gauge covers, Bazzaz fuel controller (bike's still gone), and I've ordered one of the "Combined ABS" stickers for the gas tank (like seen on other country's ABS bikes).

What is this Bazzaz? I think I must have one too.

vfrpaul98,
Thanks for sharing that link, I think. The genie is out of the bottle, there is no turning back.

I have seen a picture somewhere (somewhere on this forum, I think), and it looks great. Don't know who makes it, though. I'll post it if I can find it. I want one too.

Over in the brochure discussion thread, I posted more pages from their catalog. One has a chrome chain guard, but I can't tell if its chromed plastic or not.

Obliviontoad, if you get a chance, maybe you could start a new thread over in the "CB1100 in the Press" section with a posting of that catalog. Then there would be a dedicated thread to it that people could be directed to and maybe we could reference it if/when any items in that catalog make their way to markets outside of Japan.
