New tire day.

Thanks Ferret that clears it up for me ... 50 states x 88 counties (assumed avg) x police officer's mood at the time = total clarity on where you stand when caught speeding!!! I don't encourage speeding and personally I mostly stay within our limits however sometimes you get caught out on poorly signed sections of road and wham you're 20kmh over the limit. Love to come and ride some of those interesting roads along the canyons in your magnificent country, that would be a test of anyone's respect for speed limits.

Ferret personally I wish they would be strict about it and then just raise the limits to a "reasonable" level.
Sure, in the towns and cities they are appropriate, but out on the highways and interstates I feel they need to be re-evaluated.

Agreed but that would cut the state/county out of a bunch of revenue most likely. I travel to Louisville often and like you Randy I run what ever I need to to keep from getting run over. I have been passed many times by the law running 10 over and they just go on. They cant pull you over in high powered traffic anyway.

I have not had a ticket in years but if and when I get the next one I am going to contest it till the bitter end just to clog up the court system. If 5 percent of the people did that it would create such a log jam that they would never get anything done or collected. Play their game and wear them down for a change instead of just giving in.

And I thought some of our proliferation of law and jurisdiction was chaotic. Wow! Huh
