Thanks Randy : I can see that the. 14 has one extra plug in the headlight bucket I would think that's for the cluster haveing mileage thingie and gear indicator But I need to be able to see each color wire at the connector to be for sure if you can swap a 13& 14 switch. But thanks lots of help there.

I'm not sure but I will find out ! Our cluster has the icon for heated grips on that 13 digram look at #6 on the 14 look at #7 I bet that's for the heated grips and when the grips are on the icon in the cluster lights up. But I want ever know. The oem grips and harness is way over priced !!

Ridem,

I believe those are the capped accessory plug. There is another back by the battery, at least on the '13

Yes I agree popgun but something has to plug in the wiring harness in bucket to make the grip light come on so it could be one of those plugs. Smile

Well I would agree, but, on the wiring diagram and the connector, there are only 2 wires, hot and ground. On the '14, YMMV. I haven't seen a '14 wiring diagram. I WAS going to ask you to send me a scan, but that dawg thang...Smile

Switching between 3 bikes has all of them messed up. Someone started to pull out on me yesterday and I stabbed the turn signal cancel button instead of the horn. Really frustrating. Thinking of buying a left switch off a 2013 and installing it. Then the bike would be near perfection for me then.

For those possibly a bit more mechanical than myself, I'm thinking it would be a plug and play, don't you? Surely they wouldn't change the wiring harness on the bike for a switch change, or the color coding on the t/s wires, the horn wire, the hi/lo beam wire...But.. the order of the plugs into the snap connector might be different on the 13's?

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

BTW Gas mileage was up to 53 mpg on my fill up yesterday.

I flashed my blinker at the bonehead in the 4WD pick-up who was pulling a jet ski trailer on Monday as he forced me out of my lane. While I was still along side his truck (and nearly into the center divider) I found the horn button and laid into it good. The gentleman driving the truck was either on drugs, sleeping, or who knows what, because he was completely oblivious to my blaring horn.
