Tree Pee Got Me
#1
I made the mistake of leaving my bike under an oak tree overnight.

This is a sampling of the hard sticky mess:

The tank, seat, fenders, and fairing were covered in clear hard dots. I could feel a sense of panic setting in.

Fortunately liberal spraying of WD-40, allowed to sit a few minutes, followed by a long hot water bath saved the day.

Beware of sap dropping trees!

Looks kinda fugly, similar to pitch from a Pine tree. I'm usually garaged, but I did get rained on some.

Ugh, nasty stuff and hard to remove. Glad the WD-40 did the job, a good tip to remember.

Both my cars and sometimes my bike sit under a large oak that covers over my drive. I use Dawn dishwash to clean all. Works great.
