Yes they were Mickey. The speedo at 140 actual is 134 i've had it up to 142 several times GPS corrected

Edit: 9500rpm's in the tach is 9000 after error correction

If you could pull 9500rpms in fourth you would be @ 154mph (dyno verified)
It taps out at 142 @ 8700rpms which is 8200rpms corrected

Well that's a new record then for the forum 142. Wow.

That will make the landscape a blur

Cool thanks Steve.

i think Geezers 96 HP may be the best too, have to do some research. I know we have a thread on it.

Dyno's aren't consistent one to the other, plus there are other variables.
I'd say any CB1100 approaching 100 h.p. is pretty darn strong Wink

Tuning is restricted and leads quickly to much more expenses, than a bigger/better motorcycle.

Concerning horsepower, I would say, 110-120 hp is, what an average rider can handle somehow without being a racer with track experience.

If your bike has more, lets say like the BMW K1300 or S1000RR, you need electronic assistance systems to be able to handle and survive this horsepower greater than 160 hp.

I choosed the CB to decelerate somehow. And I wanted hp, which I can control by my human abilities, without electronic assistance, just on my own, minimizing complexity.

I know exactly what you mean, as I did the same. Came to the CB from a KTM 990 SuperDuke. I was ready for something much more sane.

All "deceleration" takes is restraint. Wink

I bought my CB1100 for two reasons.

1st, I needed a 'slow' bike, as only owning the FZ-09 was assuredly going to get me arrested or deaded, it just begs to be ridden fast.
2nd I missed my CB 750 F's that I gave away upon buying my FZ, I'm a honda guy at heart, and have been riding CBs for too long to recall, and dangit, I quickly found I missed having a running CB in my stable.

In retrospect, the CB1100 isn't 'that' slow, it's faster then the DOHC 80s CB 750, and equally fast, as the highly coveted 80's DOHC CB 1100.

I like mine, and don't plan to get rid of it for a very long time. Besides the mirrors and exhuast, I'm keeping her dead stock.

I forgot to mention, my 96+rwhp dyno run was at a little under 14k miles, with the original spark plugs and yet to have a valve adjustment. Smile
