I've been using this tool when I want to find fun roads to drive in my weekend car and now that I got the CB1100, I've been using it a lot more since lower speed roads are just as fun: [url=http://roadcurvature.com]roadcurvature.com
They do some fancy algorithmic scanning of google maps so there are definitely some roads that are just too short for any real fun but I found some hidden gems in San Diego so far.

Very Interesting. Checked out local Mt Palomar South Grade S6 road (from Mothers Kitchen to Pala/76) which is used by local racer wantabe's to test their moto skills (some don't make it per the various memorials along the road). Curvature map is pretty representative. REF:

Also many 20 or 30 miles of "nice" curves between Payson AZ and Mesa AZ (87 and 260), many that can be run at higher speeds (this Oct 2020 I past a overturned car on the side bank that didn't make it ... assume they just lost focus). Curvature map did not "highlight" any areas between the two cities ... maybe the were not tight enough curves. REF:

There are lots of good roads in San Diego County. I have several loops that I do from my house in Vista, Ca. For a short ride (60 miles) I go north 15 to 76 to Cole Grade road through Valley Center and down Castle road to 15 south and then back. For a little longer ride (105 miles) I go out 76 past Palomar to Lake Henshaw and to 79. Turn right through Santa Ysabel to 78 to Ramona through to Rancho Bernardo and to 15 north to 78 and back home. For a bit longer ride (125 miles) I go to Ranchita but stay on S2 and go through the valley to the "T". Right is to Banner grade/Julian; left is to Anza Borrego and the town of Borrego. Up the Banner grade which has over 80 turns in 7+ miles and into Julian. Then back through Ramona etc. If you take the road to Borrego you can come back up the hill/mountain to Ranchita and back to 79. One other route which is the longest at about 230 miles (back to my home in Vista) is to take the turn off for Shelter Valley and proceed to Butterfield stage stop and to Ocotillo and back to freeway 8. Also another one is up 371/74 to Anza/Palm desert (think "It's a mad, and, mad, world") or to Idyllwild. Seeing how I don't have CB1100 yet, (but will), I don't know the range of the bike as the one trip to Ocotillo is long depending on which way you go. Also, a trip out to the Salton Sea is interesting. I used to ride with a buddy who subsequently moved to Colorado and we used to go out through the southern part: Lyons Valley, Pine Valley, Lake Cuyamaca, route 80 (before there was "8"), Sunrise Highway etc. etc. Good riding and plenty of twisties and ample cruising.

Don't mention it, what you found is very odd, I have no idea why that wouldn't be picked up. Zooming in makes it clear that it should be a very fun road. Perhaps the site owner doesn't want anyone knowing where their stomping grounds are?

All of your ideas are good calls for riding in the San Diego Area! Coming out of Anza Borrego up the I-8 can be frigid in the evening on a return ride ... need jackets for that (I forgot one time and froze my tush off)
Am riding with new forum member Surya this weekend. We should ride sometime ... Maybe the new member from Julian area too

It did find PA282 - Creek Rd that follows the East Branch of the Brandywine. One of my favorite roads in the immediate area.

Unfortunately it doesn't work well in my home area. There are lot's of curvy roads around here, and the website shows them all. But far too many (often with rather disappointing curves) are shown in deep red, so you can't the wheat from the chaff.
