The short answer is no. As clearviewx says, you can look at the highest VIN on the register and take a guess, but that’s all it will be, I’m afraid.

I did speculate on numbers once, but I can’t easily find the thread now.

You can get a certain amount of detail in the UK. The website http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk gives you a breakdown of how many are either registered on the road or stored and not used. See the example here, quarterly figures are cumulative and SORN means the owner has registered the system off the road not in use.

That mean 67 machines sitting in peoples garages/sheds unused. This site gets its figures from the UK statistics office and the first quarter of 2021 is the last set of figures covered as there is a big of a lag in publication..

Very consistent sales for A-D since 2013, not huge numbers and obviously dropping slightly bit still shows the classic appeal of the CB1100 that doesn't really fade

No Tod, that is the actual number of bikes registered on the road and SORN'd, not quarterly sales figures, those you need to extrapolate. So take 2016 for example, from Q1 to Q2 it looks like they sold 21 extra bikes but in reality 11 came back out of storage in the same period so they only actually sold and registered another 10. The other anomaly is that a bike could of been written off in that period, the stats don't tell us that so the new sales figure in that case would be one higher for each bike written off. So the sales figures are actually quite small for a country with a large population. It means, at the last count, there are currently only 112 CB1100 A-D's on the road in the UK, a very exclusive club! It also means there are 69 of the new paintjob (mudguards and side panels) CB1100 EX models on the road.

Ya I searched quite a bit before I asked. Just thought Honda would have released a number throughout the years. A car company will have a number somewhere that x amount of cars were made in 2013-14 whatever.

8 out of 10 people agree with you. 1 out of those 10 don't understand the question. Big Grin
