Great ride report Matt and glad you guys had a good time. When you are talking about the next trip an hour after the last trip, you know it was a success. Congrats.

And for my little part you are welcome...and thanked right back. It was fun. Lets do it again sometime.. I have more roads Wink

All I can say is nice trip I been all in that area it's very nice. Us southern boys from MS. FL. La. AR. GA. TN. SC. NC. We going to plan us a mountain ride in that area and those of you ole Yankees can join us But when we hit the mountain roads and switchbacks all y'all will see is our CB taillites! Lol.

Fantastic ride report, Matt. I've enjoyed nearly every mile. Did I get the faint sense there was a lot of wind on the way home? Pity.

Thanks for the maps. You've saved me a job, although I'm still interested to see how I can use Google maps to plot a detailed 1,800 mile trip.

Just was rereading this report because of Motogeezers stay at Two-Wheel Inn and noticed this comment from OldF7Guy. Made me a little said to read this and very sad that I missed the only chance I would have to ride with him.

RIP oldF7Guy.
Rode the Gap today. People watched there for over an hour. Had lunch at the TapocoLodge.com not too far from there. Also rode the Parkway, Joyce Kilmer and a bunch of other excellent little traveled side roads in the vicinity with some friends who know their way around. Staying at their place in Knoxville for a couple days. Good riding!

Weather has been nothing but perfect the whole trip.
There was some late afternoon rain forecast for today, I need to get an update on that.
