Yeah, patience for sure. If not for your own well being, at least for the well being of the RLETs, clutch/brake levers, mirrors, handle bars, turn signals and foot stock - to start.
No sense in "going down there" if it is avoidable.

I haven't been checking in but I'm glad I got to skip to the 'the pain is reduced part.'
I highly recommend a power lift recliner. I got one for my hip replacement 4 years ago and still use it everyday! You can get a cheap one at Sam's club. It also power reclines which is the part I still use.
Hope you get feeling better soon, at least by July ;-)
