Forget sailing on ice. The future will be much warmer. Floridians will flock to Canada (wait, they kinda already do) to find some relief from the heat (good luck).

![]() (Wikipedia) "It was called La Jamais Contente, meaning Never Satisfied and was the first in the history of mankind to overcome the barrier of dreams - 100 km/h. On April 29, 1899, the cigar-like silver-red car pulled exactly 105.88 km/h-65.8 miles/h, causing ecstasy in the press all over the world. La Jamais Contante was equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 50 kW and weighed 1,450 kg (3,197 lbs) with batteries. At the helm of the vehicle sat its creator, the famous Red Devil, Camille Jenatzy, a redheaded Belgian engineer, known for not afraid of anything ..." Remember, in those days, the belief was that you'd be better of if you were thrown clear of the flying wreck before it landed on top of you.
We had a 1915 Stutz board track racer in the Petersen, and that was my answer when people asked "where are the seat belts?" It usually garnered a cringe. |
