A really hot looking girl was admiring my CB in front of the Post Office a couple weeks ago. When I walked up she said: "is that your Honda?" I said "Yes, it is" and got on. She looked right at me and said: "You must have an enormous schvanstuka." I said "Yes, I do" and rode off.

And just for the uninitiated - I believe "schvanstuka" is Ukrainian for "monthly payment".

A strange dream for sure. My dreams end a little differently.....

Although it is a "retro" style bike, I've had two people, both clearly born long after the high-water mark of the classic CBs, both notice and comment about how much they like my bike. There's just something about it that's cool and timeless.

I know what you mean, Ferret. I couldn't hear his words or even read his lips. Just had to take in his wrinkled old face break into a huge grin as he spoke to his partner. And when they finally came into the restaurant I gave a quick thought to approaching them and then let it pass. I didn't want to intrude or spoil the moment.

There is a logical explanation to this. It is nothing more than an optical illusion. It all depends on the size of the rider, the juxtaposition of a horse jockey and a rugby player on a CB. There is also the viewers perspective. Most motorcycles here in the states are big displacement cruisers, compared to those it will appear small.
P.S. No one has made the small remark to me either

I'm over 6'4 and at 325lbs so I make a lot of things look small
As far as getting comments on the road from strangers with my cruiser I would often get the "nice" comment from bikers and a few while I had it parked. Nothing really where people went out of their way to say something......until this morning. I was waiting traffic during my commute when a van along side of me rolls the window down, a middle aged woman sticks her head out the window and tells me her husband says that my motorcycle is what motorcycles are suppose to look like and that they both love it. I guess the whole hyperbole thing I was suspecting really isn't hyperbole.
