I bet we could get a bike delivery relay going to get the bike from Michigan to Oregon cheaply. Like pony express. stateboy could ride it to Chicago. I could ride it up into Wisconsin. Maybe Ole could pick it up there and get it to Minnesota. Then we'd need someone from up there to get it out to North Dakota, and so on. Each rider would need a chase vehicle to return him home after his leg.
I bet we could get the bike out there in just a couple of days. Of course, we'd have to wait a couple of months for the weather to relax. Too bad the bike doesn't have to go from Atlanta to San Diego.

Thanks! I appreciate the thought E.S.! But I want to see the odo with 691 miles on it
![]() It would probably get here quicker than what it is looking like at the moment. No worries tho.. Its in good hands. It is after all winter here too.

So, this bike is now on it's third owner and it has only 691 miles on the clock?

I am so glad you got it....I was hoping you would get his....great price with the mods done!

Thanks D.v.!
that was the easy part. Getting it here is going to be fun. Motorcycle Shippers (original eh?) is the co. I want to go with to get it here. Like all shippers they have limitations. for your edification. Once I place the order they give you a 1-10 window to pickup. Since S.boy lives in a "remote" moto pickup area, i.e. not enough bikes getting shipped from there, I can't request a certain date(s). Seattle - big city - no problem. They call the day before and if you are available great -if not you get cycled back into the system and are first up in another 1-10 day window until they find you there and you can hand it off. If you have to work - how do you get this done? If there is a dealer that would take it - you leave it with the service mgr. and the next time they are in the area they call and pick up from there. S.boy (good man) works two days a wk. He's a standup guy and wants to be the one handing it off, but we might have to look at some options. They don't back into cul-de-sacs with tractor/trailer rigs either. Why not? S. boy lives on a cul-de-sac. So you have to wheel it to the corner cause they won't come and get it.On second thought Maybe the forum member moto relay would get it here quicker, That or I have S.boy hold on to it and I do a fly and ride. Probably not either. Its early...I haven't had enough coffee yet. ![]() I think we have a good to go solution. Onward and Upward!

Look forward to hearing how you solve it el duque. Fly and Ride is always the best option.

I'm thinking now I don't want to ride it much so I can keep the miles low for the next owner. ![]() (02-21-2018, 07:21 AM)Cormanus_imp Wrote: Look forward to hearing how you solve it el duque. Fly and Ride is always the best option. Stateboy has offered to take the day off if needed. We are going to "open the window" and see how the chips fall. either way we will/should get it in the first go-round. That is unless there is a blizzard in Michigan at the time. Still we need to wait a wk or so for schedules to clear. In the meantime I will work on the title transfer, make a spot for it in the garage and ponder the new member of the herd. I have 3 old Goldwings so all in the family. One might have to get a job and move out.

It’s too much fun to keep in the garage. |
