Thanks Rolls. Rode the CB today. Another wonderful ride. What a great bike. After riding the ST all week it was like riding a super-moto lol, so light and flickable. 44 more miles on the odo.

Ok, you've inspired me. I'm gonna sneak away from my boring paperwork responsibilities for an hour and sneak in a ride while the sun's still shining. Up 'til today it's been a rainy holiday weekend around here.

I sure like reading about these higher-mileage examples. I just can't think of a more reliable motorcycle I've owned overall. I would ride this bike across the continent without a second thought, other than the battery it has never even hiccuped.

There is a lot to be said for a large, very understressed engine. The bike is so smooth now with the bar mods, I'd consider a different (more comfy) seat and some more luggage and rack up a mile or two (thousand). Stock seat is fine for everyday but on the long hauls I'd want some more support.

I turned over 23,019 miles for the year on todays ride. Started sprinkling on the way home so dodged a bullet considering they were calling for 80% rain from 9:45 this morning until this evening.

Less than 500 miles to go before I have to raise the bar again.

I'm impressed and intrigued by your success at meeting and exceeding your goals, however not intrigued enough to get out a calendar and then review your for the last month, so.... how are you doing on this other goal you mentioned?

With 49 days left in the year I need to ride 34 of them to meet my other goal of 308 days ridden in the year which the Aerostitch catalog says is possible for this area.

well Sea, today was day number 290 riding...so I need 18 out of the next 33 days to meet the 308 goal

I have only missed 3 days of riding since March 14 with this caveat. * I was out of town on vaca with my wife twice and couldn't ride (although if I had been home,trust me I would have lol). May 14-21 we flew to Sanibel Is, Fla to celebrate our 42 anniversary and my 66th birthday so I missed 8 days of riding then.... and June 27-30 she rented a cabin in se Ohio for a family vaca with our children, their spouses and our grand children and I missed 4 days of riding then.

and if I get a ride in Thursday I believe that will make it 10 years in a row that I will have ridden all 12 months of the year, or 120 months in a row. It may be more but I didn't keep track before 2006.
