There was a report on the news one night. Here in Cinti there was a nursing home across the street from a hospital. When one of the residents of the nursing home would fall or be sick or whatever they would call an ambulance to pick them up and take them 500 yards across the street to the emergency room. Bam $800 charge to the patients insurance or to the patient if they had no insurance. This was about 10 years ago.

All free herein the UK - you may have to wait in a queue whilst your bleeding mind. However, if you bend any street furniture, or such, your insurance company does have to pay for the repairs.
