Undecider's new FZ 09
#31
I can't get past the looks (even on the XSR 900 which is supposedly more retro). My son has a FJ-09. With saddlebags and a trunk it looks better, but still too insectoid FOR ME. I understand they are very good bikes though.

Bike looks trick....I like it! I saw a bigger fella on one the other day and it looked like he was a giant on a kids bike, I’m afraid I’d look the same on one. Sometimes I come up behind a Yamaha fz/mt and think I’m pulling up behind a scooter....actually a lot of sport bikes do that to me. I’m so vain.....?

Also I’d probably lose my license in a matter of minutes on that thing.

I really kinda like the looks of the XSR, but it isn't quite "pretty" enough for me to really love the looks of it. So, I figured why not embrace the fugly and save some money.

I bet you have loads of fun on it!

Does it do power wheelies in all the gears with your quick shifter?

My wife did it for me, so I'll pay it forward for my motorcycle

Undecider, congrats on your new FZ. It looks like an absolute blast. Not to steal your thunder or draw any comparisons, but I get the same "wow" sensation when I jump on my F800GT. It's 470 lbs. wet, 90 hp, 63 lb-ft, and very agile. I doubt it could loft the front wheel with me at the controls but it's quite liberating and dynamic just the same. Enjoy!

Don’t let her read that statement- it can easily be misconstrued. [Image: b668ca18aef6d8d61df18a31b5a611f2.png]
