I walk the local nature trail everyday in the winter for 45 minutes, weather permitting.
When I am being good, I substitute pineapple, oranges, apples, or bananas for chocolate, cookies, or ice cream. Not happing now because Penny thinks I get cranky if I haven't had my chocolate fix. So everyone gave me chocolate for Christmas. My grandmother who lived to 99 was a chocoholic, my 97 year mother is a chocoholic, and so am I. So maybe chocolate isn't the killer they think it is.
The boss loads our plates with vegetables, or a side of salad. I am being to hate broccoli and asparagus even with melted cheese.
I do not drink hard liquor, rarely have a beer, but the wine bottle at the supper table always ends up empty.
Smoke for two weeks as a teenager and quit.
I sleep soundly. Would sleep better if I didn't have a bladder.
It took a year to rid myself of rush hour bad driving habits after retiring. Now I avoid rush hours and weekend shopping. Ride my motorcycle on country back roads in the middle of the week.
Do not wear a watch or watch the TV news. If WWIII happens I will see the flash. So stress is not a problem.
I would like to weigh 10 pounds less, but my body is determined to remain at 226. Something I weighed in my 40s when I worked, played baseball in the summer, hockey and broomball in the winter. So now that I spend the winter at my computer on motorcycle forums, I really should not be surprized.
