Downshifting while stopped
#21

I certainly wasn't thinking that anything was broken and I certainly never entertained getting a dealer involved. I was just curious if anybody else experienced the --. It can't be an indicator telling you to downshift while rolling because for me anyway, it only happens specifically when not rolling.

None of my other bikes have ever had any trouble downshifting from second to first while stopped, which is the only reason I asked about it. None of them have had gear indicators though.

In any case, it's better practice to shift to first before stopping, and doing that makes it a non-issue. I was curious, not worried.
