Wow, that really surprises me. The dart windscreen is pretty small. You wouldn't think it would have much impact.

I'm using a National Cycle Deflector, the ride is better with it than without. The wind buffeting is lighter with the screen than without it, and the bike handles the same, except for strong blasts of wind from the front. I no longer feel like a human parachute at freeway speeds or higher.
I prefer the looks of a naked bike, but in my case, the function of the screen has made it worth keeping on the bike for longer jaunts down the freeway.

I use a National Cycle Street Shield and I find the ride more enjoyable/less turbulant and I don't get white knuckles holding on to the handlebars for dear life going freeway speeds! I like the naked look but for me the shield ends up staying on permanently. The looks have grown on me.

I have been using the Dart Marlin small windscreen for years and regularly use on freeway routes. I have not experienced unpleasant buffeting or noise with any of my helmets, otherwise I would have taken the screen off a long time ago. I will say the screen effectiveness is limited to maybe between 60 to 120 km/h. As expected, it is useless at repelling flying objects.

Dart Piranha user here.. no increased noise that I can tell but it does move the air blast from chest directly into face of helmet .. I tend to be a bit of a sloucher when I ride when I am not getting on it so with a hair more slouch it runs right over top of helmet ( most anyway).
Part of the naked bike experience . Would not trade it As far as handlebar wobble ... could not tell you . I prefer my hands on the handlebars. I ride Better/ keep the rubber side down that way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
