Congrats Riko. A LOT of us spent a lot of time in the garage just looking at it. Still do... Smile

Thx Smile

And aint that a fact.
When I returned I ""cleaned"" her up and removed a little stone stuck between the right header and heatshield.

I did give the bike a spanking and thus the fuel consumption was very high.
8.2L/100km.
That like 34mpg... Oeps.

Coming from a big scooter such as a Burgman 650, I did have to adjust at the whole clutch thing, but as I rode, I felt getting more and more familiar with it.

The way to handle all the weight is about the same since that scooter weighs about 19 MORE than the CB.
So weight wise, no unpleasant surprises at all.

But again the clutch made it a different experience all together.
Nothing beats a scooter in super crowed stop and go city traffic of course.
Unless its an automatic like with the FJR or the DCT Honda boxes.
But I will get better with the clutch and I will master it more effciently.
Luckily for my primary area of driving (much city), that clutch is easy to handle and light.
I have no experience with clutches exept for the big Cruiser and the clutch is day and night difference in easiness.
From driving school I learned on an old CB500, but have no real recollection.

Looking forward to my next ride wich is in...a few minutes. Smile

Good for you Riko.
Great bike.
After 20 months of ownership, I am still going to the garage to look at "my geisha" every time I can.
These bikes grow on you big time...

Congrats on your cb.

thx man!

I also realised on my first ride (and all rides after that no doubt) I let my radio off to actually listen to the exhaust, it was very addictive

I admit I am one of those who listens to the radio while riding Blush
But dont't forget I came from a Burgman Angel....

oeps Shy
now I know it can be thirsty, lets test how economical it can be Tongue

(12-09-2015, 02:52 AM)Riko_imp Wrote: Hi all! Hello

I've been a member since 12-09-2013 (so it seems according to my User CP) and FINALLY on my 141st post I can say that I bought myself a CB1100EX!! Heart

Yesterday evening right after work I rode with my big scooter 60km towards the dealer to deliver some GPS parts (Tomtom Rider 40 with brace) to install on the CB and to make an order to install the OEM heated grips....and to actually confirm the salescontract!

And so now its really official, I just bought a Honda CB1100EX (still have to do the actual payment tho Tongue)

Today I got all insurance papers, licenseplate papers, etc in order and I am legal to drive that bike as soon as it arrives.
Wich is, if everything is going as planned, this friday already!
I am very exited!

That bike was sitting there at the dealer for months, I cannot even remember how I bumped upon that specific bike, let alone that specific dealer so far away, but hey I am happy nobody snatched it away from me until now.

But immediately after I got all my legal papers in order, I could make a deal with an individual who was very interested in buying my scooter and here it is the proof, bye bye Burgman 650 Executive ABS:

So now the garage space is empty, hopefully only for one full day, and than this absolute stunning beauty is coming to sleep in his place:

The moment the dealer moved the bike to the workshop, it was so very strange, its like I saw the bike again for the very first time, and especially the shape of that tank from topview made a deep impression to me, so bulky, handsome and symmetrical looking, very neat.
Same for the way the stock pipes look in real life! Awesomeness!

The whole bike is day and night from a pure looks-perspective to my big scooter - Yes, I fell in love.

About the bike itself, as you can see its a EX model, buildyear 2014, with heated grips to be installed and equiped with GPS.

Since I called this a build list, I am planning on adding a bunch of stuff onto it:
- fork gaitors are coming from Japan, but are not being installed as of yet.
- OEM rack + Givi E55 Tech topcase
- OEM engine guards
- black Road Comet faring Type 1 with tinted screen (might order a tinted touring screen as well)
- HAKOFUGU mirrors
- Chic Design black sport trunkseat
- black side panels
- Steelmate TP-90 tire pressure monitoring system (especially with those tube tires)
- smoked Daytona legshield and clear Daytona handguards.

And I will be replacing the spoke wheels with the dual tone mag wheels!
But since this is quit costly (you gotta replace the brake assembly as well...) its not for the near future.

Also planning to black out the front fender, the front shocks and to add a
- Chic Design short rear fender (with some modifications on the rear lights, dual round ones Cool)
So in all I am aiming at a blacked out bike with a red tank.
But not 100% black.

But first things first, the arrival of the bike on friday (if they aren't too busy, could be saturday, but I certainly hope not!!).
So hopefully a picture update the day after tomorrow!

Bye bye and ride safe! Biker

Haha I joined in a similar manner, I saw the reveal video from honda of the CB1100. And instantly became crazy about this bike. I'm still saving up for mine though. ^^"

Came in yesterday from Japan Webike (well, from customs to be correct)
Kijima fork gaiters, part n° HD-03216

It took 3 days to reach Belgium Thumbs Up
But 7 days to clear customs (after sending a mail to speed up clearance)

This should be the result:

Upcoming parts from Samurider, some OEM parts, Engine guards:

Rear rack:

and the nice black HAKOFUGU mirrors Cool

I must say, Takashi is a very very fair guy, maybe too fair, if there is such a thing Smile
I asked him to add an invoice with a lower value number so the import tax would be lower as well, a common practice.
But he did not want to oblige my request.

Normally somewhere this month I'll make a new order at Japan Webike for the ChicDesign Road comet fairing 1 with smoked touring screen.

Small update on the fuel economy, last time I was kinda shocked I had this figure

Now I reached 6,9L/100 KM, same enviroment but just a little bit more gentle on the throttle and keeping a eye on the revs and gearing Smile

thx man!

I have to be honest, the bike looks so good stock I will leave it alone, for now. Angel
The rear fender idea I had being the biggest adjustment, I'll let that idea for what it is.
Maybe in the future.

Blackening the front fender, forks and grabrails are on the agenda still. Smile

About the TPMS, theres an even easier way I found out, without a monitor to connect to the electric system of the bike, but that works with bluetooth and your smartphone:

More essential is keeping the rims but making them compatibel for tubeles tires thanks to the Outex kit:

And thanks to the same company, you never need a tire kit with this

Watch this, impressive, most impressive.

I think its already used on some high end electrical bicycles.
ow, my helmet, forgot to mention Smile

With the B4 com system I got all communication and techno gizmos I could wish for on a bike.

Compared to a Schubert modular, this is heavier, but I am happy with it.
Did have to replace the chin curtain, and the newer one is of even worse quality at the tabs....typical Italian plastic quality, bad.

Ow and did have to cut off a part of the liner on the straps since they also where worn out and started to leave marks on my neck when taking the helmet off...

Other than that, very handy spring loaded flip up system thats also homologated as a jet jelmet and even a spring loaded visor.

They did make a slightly updated N104, the N104 EVO RolleyesBig Grin
