I can't see me doing single track, even with the 650L, so tires and perhaps the forks upgrade and possibly the rims and tires. I like the idea of a 19" front. Amazing how well that works on dirt roads.

And probably a custom seat. I seem to have a very fussy bum. sigh....

Unfortunately, me, too - I have 4 seats for the CB1100 alone... Blush

Great bike, but the blasted 4 into 1 drone drove me nuts on anything more than a 35 mile ride. Riding it for 6 or 7 hours in a row, just drove me batty. I swore no more aftermarket pipes for me from then on. Then in 1994 my wife bought me a new Sportster for Christmas. Of course it had to have custom pipes, along with all the chrome in the catalog. When I went to pick it up and soon as I fired it up I knew it was too loud. Not sure how long it lasted, a year? And I was moving on to something that I could ride and hear myself think at the same time. I have learned to love quiet.

Ah, so I'm NOT the only one!
I've got a Staintune on the CB11, but it's so sweet and mellow sounding that it doesn't bother me at all. It makes it sound more like an inline 4 (which I love), without being obnoxious. So I guess I'm not COMPLETELY over the whole aftermarket exhaust thing after all. Big Grin

I have three seats for the Griso, two for the CB. sigh.

Checked out the dealer today. Holy moly the Thruxton R is a nice bike. Was not prepared to like it so much. Ouch!

The CB500X is a nice fit, I'd have to ride it to see if we bond. The CB1100 bonded with me when I heard her rev'd on the floor.

Aprillia Campanord is on my list now (due to some great press) but at 500lbs, so is the Africa Twin. Then they had this used Art Deco Yamaha cruiser - and I love Art Deco (never had a cruiser) so that tugged at the heart strings too.

I have this nasty pinching problem. I like way too many bikes, have too little room for them and now that I'm on a fixed income, too little cash to support said habit. sigh........

I really should get down to two bikes to make life simple.
