What's your favorite (besides the CB1100) of course

My CB1100 does just about everything. We're it falls short (for me); is long distance rides. Had a 2008 GoldWing. That thing spoiled me. Cruise, heated grips, seat, NAVI, foot heaters, and lots of power with decent fuel economy. Very stable & comfortable going down the road. Someday I might get another one

If you have ever seen the large book " the ultimate guide to Honda street bikes" I actually owned the CB550 in the book....not one like it but the actual bike. (I won't talk about how stupid I was to sell it a few years ago) I just really loved the bike compared to my CB750, CB650 custom and 900 custom. It handled great around town and on the mountain roads on 421. The only bike that has come anywhere close was my 99 Kawasaki W650.

I don't really compare motorbikes I posses. I take them as they are and enjoy them.
But in the case of the W800 it is something different. It comes pretty close and than
takes a step further.

A lot of good bikes have come and gone in my 45 years of riding, but I'd say my 1998 K1200RS is my favorite all-time. Took it over 11,670' Guanella Pass, 11,542' Hoosier Pass and 11,991' Loveland Pass on a breakfast ride today. Awesome ride. It should flip 135,000 miles later this year.

Ferret, I love the shot of your KZ1000. I'd enjoy owning that bike. Is that the same gal as the one riding pillion on your ST1300? Obviously, ATGATT wasn't invented back then [cringe] -- I rode the same way!

Yes same girl, my lovely bride of 42 years, my riding partner for nearly 44. She rode with me this afternoon on the CB ( although she prefers the ST) and she got wet as we got caught in the rain? She truly loves riding.

Wow 135,000 miles on the same bike. Impressive. You put all the miles on it? It looks great for the mileage, heck even if it didn't have that mileage.

Yep, all the miles are mine. I rode the bike off the showroom floor in August 1997. It was the second yellow checkerboard delivered in California. The ol' girl turns 20 next year. They grow up so fast!

My favorite before the CB1100 was my '73 BMW R75. For a while my only transportation. Frugal with fuel, comfortable and reliable, I rode it for 5 years with no problems. I sold it to pay for scuba gear and regretted it as I watched the new owner ride away.

My other favorite, a 2007 Triumph Tiger 1050. Fun, fast and the most beautiful sound from that triple. It finally became too tall for my aging short body; sold after 5 reliable years.
