Yep! That's me!
I planned on getting a different bike for my commute that's why it's for sale. I did however buy yet another 2014 CB 1100 with less miles on it.....

I think I'd have had to go for 200K lol .... but congrats on putting so many miles on your CB.
Have you had any biters on your ad? (wondering if the mileage scared them off)
What did you get to commute on?
It doesn't matter what I ride, how far or how fast, only that I ride .... every day

Yes, I'd have had to go for 200,000.

Looks like he's resprayed the tank at some point.
I never resprayed the tank. It's all original

Well, the bike has been sold. I guess I'll never see if it could get to 200,000 miles. I do have another one though that has 14,000 on it now so we'll see how far this one can go!

OK. It looked from the pictures like it didn't have the red flash along the top of the tank that I thought the US bikes had.

Congrats on the sale. So, did you ever check the valves in 174k miles?
And did you and I ever hook up for an AIM show at the OC Fairgrounds years ago?
You know what? I actually would like a pickle.

No, I never checked the valves. NEVER.
Just regular maintenance.
And no, I never went to AIM show. I don't even know what that is....

I do same. Have ridden over 82.000km on my CB and never checked the valves. Leave them untouched. The engine starts fine, has equal fuel consumption depending on how I ride the bike, runs and accelerate with ease and sounds good each time it runs, so I don't worry about the valves. Especially when I read posts of riders, which do the same over a lot more ridden miles like 174.000.

I now feel better for having not checked my valves in 15000 miles.
I did meet up with someone here on the forum from around Fountain Valley for the last OC fairgrounds show years ago. It was the show Progressive put on, thought it was called AIM.
So, you're still in FV and have another, lower mileage CB1100 now?
